Job Description: Audit Intern

Position Summary:

The internship program provides a real-world introduction to the auditing profession. As an intern in Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice, you will gain in-depth exposure to the field, learning the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. You will receive guidance from experienced professionals, participate in networking opportunities, and learn about current issues shaping the profession.

Work You’ll Do:

During your internship, you’ll develop your analytical skills by:

• Auditing client financials, transactions, and internal control processes.
• Working with audit teams to learn how to apply risk assessment concepts and design audit procedures.
• Executing audit procedures using cutting-edge tools and technologies like artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science/Business Administration in Accounting or a related field.
• Definitive plans to meet minimum requirements for CPA eligibility.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Preferred:

• Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting or a related field.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven experience working independently and managing multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.

Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the current wage range is $24.77/hour to $44.77/hour.
