About the Audit Intern Role at Robinson, Farmer, Cox (RFC)
RFC is a professional accounting firm specializing in governmental audits, covering federal, state, and local programs. The Firm also serves not-for-profit clients, including charitable organizations, voluntary health and welfare groups, and property owners associations. In addition to audit services, RFC offers a comprehensive suite of professional accounting, auditing, fiscal planning, consulting, and tax services. RFC maintains multiple offices across Virginia, located in Charlottesville, Blacksburg, Louisa, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Staunton.
As an Audit Intern at RFC, you will be instrumental in delivering audit and other assurance services to a diverse client base. Successful Candidates Will Be:
- Enrolled as a student during the current school year in an accounting or a related business program.
- Able to commit to working full time for the entire duration of the internship.

Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Relevant internship, work experience, and/or active involvement with a professional organization (desired).
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel.
- Demonstrated proficiency in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience:
- Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
