The Tone:
This is an Audit Intern position at Brilyon Ventures, operating under a hybrid model with required in-person work. Brilyon Ventures specializes in assurance services, assisting clients with accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis. This role is fundamental for an aspiring professional, offering a broad business perspective, a deep understanding of business operations, and the opportunity to apply accounting knowledge to solve complex challenges, potentially launching a career within the company or in a C-suite role.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analytical Review: Identify potential audit issues or unusual relationships in financial statements through detailed analytical trend analysis.
• Client Service: Demonstrate professionalism while working in clients’ environments and providing exceptional service.
• Regulatory Compliance: Operate effectively in a regulated environment, with a focus on protecting the capital markets and the investing public.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with the company’s clients to provide definitive auditing services that the capital markets and the client can rely upon.
• Insight Communication: Share the story of value-added insights discovered through data analysis with the company’s clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, supported by a strong academic record.
• Experience: Meet the minimal educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state your base office is located prior to beginning full-time employment and have a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam; a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required, with a preference for candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Skills: Excellent English language communication, analytical trend analysis, client service, operating in a regulated environment, data analysis insight sharing.
• Bonus: An interest in working with the company’s team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model (40-60% in-person expectation); ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary; access to reliable transportation to/from the company office and client sites (driver’s license strongly recommended); U.S. citizenship required for Government & Public Sector industry roles to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher.
