• Mission: Assist senior team members in executing audit and assurance engagements to ensure compliance with financial standards and deliver value to commercial clients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Execution: Assist in executing audit and assurance engagements for commercial clients.
• Procedures: Perform audit procedures, including testing, documentation, and analysis of financial data.
• Documentation: Prepare workpapers conforming to firm standards and professional guidelines.
• Communication: Identify and communicate audit issues to senior team members.
• Client Support: Interact professionally with clients, responding to information requests and assisting with financial statement preparation and related disclosures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university.
• Experience: 1-2 years of progressive auditing experience in public accounting, with proven experience working with clients of varying sizes and industries.
• Skills: Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Bonus: CPA or progress toward certification preferred, commercial audit engagement experience preferred, and ability to travel locally to clients when required.
