Audit Intern Winter 2028 | Crowe
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Crowe, a global network of over 300 independent accounting and advisory firms operating in more than 150 countries. Crowe builds professional services across audit, tax, and consulting, emphasizing innovation through AI-enabled insights and technology-powered solutions to enhance client services. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Location: In-person
• Pay: $27.00 – $42.00 hourly
• Team: Collaborative team member working on diverse client engagements with experienced audit professionals.
• Mission: To gain in-depth exposure to the auditing profession, learn day-to-day auditor responsibilities, and deliver exceptional audit client service.
• Tech Stack: Excel, audit tools and technologies utilizing advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Client Processes: Sharpen analytical skills by auditing client financials, transactions, and internal control processes.
• Engage with Diverse Clients: Work as a team member on client engagements across various sectors including manufacturing, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, and financial institutions.
• Apply Advanced Technologies: Utilize audit tools and technologies that incorporate advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation to analyze client data.
• Deliver Exceptional Service: Independently and collaboratively deliver exceptional audit client service with a diverse group of audit professionals.
• Conduct Specialized Audits: Participate in benefit plan audits, including those for 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a similar field. Must be scheduled to meet the educational requirements for CPA licensure in their assigned Crowe work location prior to starting full-time.
• Experience: Entry-level career stage, with relevant work experience such as internships, summer positions, or school jobs. Experience with data analytics is strongly desired.
• Skills: Proficient with Excel, strong academic credentials, demonstrated leadership, problem-solving abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments both independently and in a team environment.
• Bonus: Desire and availability to travel, including evenings or weekends if required.
