Job Description: Audit and Assurance – Winter Internship (January-March)

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) winter internship (January-March) within Crowe’s Audit and Assurance practice. Interns will gain in-depth exposure to the auditing profession and the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. They will work closely with experienced professionals, learning about current issues affecting the profession.

Responsibilities:

• Auditing client financials, transactions, and internal control processes.
• Utilizing audit tools and technologies including advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation.
• Analyzing client data and contributing to exceptional client service delivery.
• Working independently and collaboratively on diverse client engagements across various industries (manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance, and financial institutions).
• Working on benefit plan audits (401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans).
• Taking initiative and seeking on-the-job learning opportunities in a collaborative team environment.

Skills and Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or a similar field.
• CPA-eligible (150 credit hours) by graduation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong data analytics skills (desired).
• Relevant work experience (internships, summer positions, school jobs – preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel, including evenings and weekends if needed.

Compensation: The hourly wage range is estimated at $27.00 – $42.00. The actual offer will depend on various factors, including skills, experience, and other business needs.
