Audit & Assurance Intern – Spring 2028 | CCK Strategies

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at CCK Strategies, requiring travel to client locations both locally and occasionally out of state. CCK is a firm that provides professional development and compensation packages, fostering a collaborative environment where individuals work together across firm departments to deliver value. The Audit & Assurance team partners with clients through every stage of their organization’s life cycle, offering quality assurance services such as financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, internal audits, SOC examinations, and fraud examinations. This role is crucial for executing detailed work plans and cultivating relationships, directly contributing to the delivery of these essential assurance services to entrepreneurial clients.

The TL;DR

• Team: Audit & Assurance, assisting Staff and Seniors
• Mission: To execute detailed work plans, cultivate relationships, and support the provision of quality assurance services to entrepreneurial clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Support: Assist Staff and Seniors with the preparation of engagement workpapers.
• Documentation: Complete detailed workpaper documentation in accordance with firm and industry standards.
• Risk Management: Identify and communicate areas of risk within the engagement team, applying basic accounting principles.
• Client Interaction: Work directly with clients when necessary to facilitate engagement progress.
• Project Execution: Complete assigned sections of each engagement within the budgeted parameters and address review notes in a complete and timely manner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position for individuals in process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrates inquisitiveness and mastery of basic accounting concepts, with an advisory mindset and enjoyment of working with entrepreneurial clients.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, effective time management in dynamic environments, critical thinking to independently resolve challenges, and adaptability to a wide variety of projects.
• Bonus: Proactively seeks opportunities for improvement and is able to travel to client locations both locally and occasionally out of state as needed.
