Job Description – Audit Analytics Intern

This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries. You will learn how to apply analytics to various projects, leverage the power of data, and see the strategic benefits of data analytics for audit quality, efficiency, and value.

Key responsibilities:

• Building and executing data analytics solutions: Using tools like Databricks, Python, SAS, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Visual Basic, and others to develop and execute analytics solutions that support audit objectives.
• Analyzing and interpreting data: Querying and analyzing large datasets to uncover patterns, identify anomalies, profile data, and reveal relationships.
• Developing data visualizations: Creating meaningful dashboards using Tableau and Power BI to effectively communicate data trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Supporting the development of standardized dashboards: Contributing to the creation of industry-focused dashboards.
• Collaborating with audit teams: Working closely with audit teams serving companies of all sizes and industries.
• Leveraging various data sources: Utilizing both structured and unstructured data.
• Communicating effectively: Preparing audit documentation, presenting complex information clearly, and engaging in effective communication with team members and clients.
• Demonstrating leadership: Showing strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
• Managing multiple assignments: Working independently and effectively in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.

Required qualifications:

• Pursuing a relevant degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with a concentration in Business Analytics or Data Analytics, or in a technology related field like Management Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, Math, Economics, Industrial & Operations Engineering, Computer Engineering, Decision Sciences or Data Sciences.
• Analytical software proficiency: Familiarity with analytical and visualization software packages/tools/languages (e.g. Databricks, Python, SAS, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Visual Basic).
• Travel readiness: Ability to travel up to 30% based on the work requirements.
• Minimum age: Must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong academic record: Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Relevant coursework: Business, accounting, and/or auditing coursework or degree.
