This is a part-time, seasonal role at Baker Tilly US, a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm with a global presence and 43,000 professionals worldwide. This position is integral to Baker Tilly’s nationally centralized ‘BT Prep’ processing center, which was established to drive efficiency, standardize processes, and significantly reduce operational costs. The role’s primary importance lies in more effectively utilizing the valuable time of Baker Tilly’s accounting professionals by handling initial data preparation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Initial Engagement Preparation: Prepare initial Audit, EBP Audits, and SSARS engagements, along with similar tasks within the Assurance service line, applying high-level skills to a range of standard tasks.
• Data Examination and Analysis: Routinely examine and analyze data records, working with initial client-provided data that typically does not involve completion of client deliverables.
• Information Interpretation: Interpret information provided by clients, referencing similar information from prior years or comparable clients to ensure accuracy and context.
• Data Input and Documentation: Input interpreted and analyzed information into the appropriate software, diligently identifying issues and inputting clear, concise notes for any missing items or questions.
• Professional Development: Maintain and expand your knowledge base by utilizing supplied training materials, attending necessary courses to keep skills current, and continually increasing efficiencies and technical ability while understanding how performed tasks integrate into the overall process.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This early career role highly prefers candidates with an Associate degree or above in a STEM-related major, providing a foundation for critical thinking and data interpretation tasks.
• Experience: The role requires availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM local time, with a schedule spanning at least 4 days per week and a minimum of 4 consecutive hours per day, specifically from December 7 to April 2027.
• Skills: Candidates must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in standard tasks, possess the ability to maintain confidentiality and independence with client information, show adaptability to technology in a paperless environment, and exhibit solid written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, the ability to work independently and manage workload effectively is essential.
• Bonus: Experience with and proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat is preferred.
