About the Internship

As an Assurance Intern, you will gain practical, hands-on experience performing duties similar to a staff accountant. This includes preparing work papers, checking account balances, and directly interacting with clients. This internship is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of business and accounting by working as a vital part of our audit teams.

You will have the opportunity to work both in the office and travel to client locations, allowing you to learn about diverse businesses across various industries. Calvetti Ferguson is committed to helping you kickstart your accounting career with proper training, resources, and continuous guidance along the way.

This is a full-time, in-office internship from early January 2027 through mid-March 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with financial statement audits and reviews.
• Participate in internal control reviews.
• Engage in hands-on work at client sites, learning about various industries.
• Perform duties of a staff accountant, such as preparing work papers, checking account balances, and interacting with clients.

Job Requirements

• Currently working towards a CPA certification.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to proofread for accuracy and finalize documents professionally.
• Ability to meet established deadlines, ensuring work is complete and accurate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level is required.
• Juniors and above are preferred.
