About the Job: Cohen & Co’s Internship Program (Detailed Description)
This internship program at Cohen & Co is designed to offer hands-on experience and significantly enhance an intern’s understanding of the professional services industry. The program is comprehensive, providing all the tools and training necessary to launch a career in the field. Interns are assured that they will not be tasked with menial jobs like coffee runs or mindless photocopying. Instead, the focus is on substantive engagement:

• Acquiring technical knowledge.

A Day in the Life (Assurance Focus):
Interns in the Assurance program can expect to:
• Get Involved in Real Audit Work: This includes performing testing, assisting with reporting, and ensuring compliance across various client engagements.
• Build Relationships: Opportunities to connect with peers, mentors, and engagement teams through client work, firm events, and dedicated internship program experiences.
• Grow Your Skills: Interns will receive ongoing feedback to help them sharpen their technical abilities and develop as professionals.

Internship Commitments:
• Internship Length: The program runs from Early June to Early August 2027.
• Internship Schedule: Both full-time (32-40 hours/week) and part-time (minimum 20-25 hours/week) opportunities are available.
• Pencils Down Week: All employees receive one week off to recharge. For interns, this week is unpaid and subject to change.
Who You Are (Qualifications):
Required:
• Degree: Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Major: Must be majoring in Accounting.
• Coursework: Successful completion of introductory accounting course(s) and at least one intermediate accounting course before the internship program start date is mandatory.
Preferred:
• GPA: A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
• Journey to CPA: Candidates who are pursuing the required credit hours to sit for the CPA Exam are preferred.
