Federal Tax Associate (Fall 2027/Winter 2028) | RSM US LLP

What You’ll Actually Do
• Focus: Work on a team specializing in a wide range of tax specialty areas, including accounting for income taxes, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, private client services, and not for profit organizations.
• Research: Complete comprehensive tax planning and research for clients.
• Preparation: Prepare federal and state & local tax returns accurately.
• Compliance: Understand and apply tax regulations and accounting pronouncements to client work.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position requiring a minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university, with a major in Accounting.
• Experience: Candidates must be prepared for travel to assigned client locations and have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals at the start of their professional accounting careers.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred, and candidates working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam are highly valued.
