Job Description: Associate Solutions Engineer (CSAP) – Japan

Location: Osaka, Japan

What You’ll Do:

The Cisco Sales Associates Program (CSAP) offers a structured training program and on-the-job experience to develop your technical, sales, and communication skills. Through the “Education, Experience, Exposure” model, you will learn to position Cisco’s architectures, solutions, products, and technologies to customers.

This program will lead you into a Solutions Engineering role with Cisco’s Global Virtual Engineering (GVE) Team. GVE provides software and solutions engineering services to customers, partners, and internal sales teams. As a Solutions Engineer, you will engage with customers and partners to discover, demonstrate, and design technical solutions for their complex challenges.

Who You Are:

• Recent graduate with a technical degree, ideally focused on networking and computing, or certified from a technical boot camp, apprenticeship, community college, or vocational school with up to 3 years of professional experience (internship/work-study or apprenticeship applicable).
• 1-3 years of experience in technical or presales support, or system engineer roles in a similar or adjacent industry.
• Passionate about technical solutions sales and working with customers.
• Excited about turning technical requirements into business value.
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certified or currently learning towards CCNA and will be certified by the program start date.
• Strong passion for technology, particularly networking and computing, with an interest in software languages such as Java and Python.
• Comfortable engaging audiences by explaining complex technology in simple terms.
• Ability to apply technology creatively to solve customer problems.
• Fluent in English and Japanese.
• Eager to build a long-term technical sales career with Cisco.
• Legally able to live and work in Japan without company sponsorship/support (work permits obtained independently are not applicable).
