Associate Software Engineer Position:
This role involves participating in the development and support of new and existing technology solutions for Cargill’s digital future. As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a global Digital Technology & Data team, collaborating with cross-functional teams and potentially working directly with customers.
Your responsibilities include:
• Developing, testing, integrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and documenting software solutions.
• Ensuring code quality and incorporating security practices in new and existing applications.
• Collaborating with the team to adopt agile methodologies, participate in agile ceremonies, and identify improvements.
• Engaging in peer code reviews and adapting to Cargill’s engineering and development practices.
• Contributing to the engineering community by sharing technical approaches and skills.
• Partnering with other teams to deliver digital solutions.
• Handling basic issues and problems under supervision, escalating more complex issues as needed.
Technology Development Program:
This two-year program involves three eight-month rotations across teams in Atlanta, GA. Rotations focus on:
• Application experience: Working with systems like ERP, customer/commercial applications, supply chain, trading, smart manufacturing, and non-ERP apps.
• Platform experience: Focus on areas like infrastructure as code, Cloud, Cyber Security, API Gateway, DXP, Mobile, and Data platforms.
• Data experience: Working with technologies like Python and SQL.
Graduates of the TDP are placed in Associate Software Engineering roles within Cargill’s Digital Technology & Data (DT&D) department and act as mentors for new program participants.
Compensation:
The expected salary is $78,000. This does not include geographic differentials.
