Senior Associate | Pacific Executive Search

The Tone:
This is a full-time in-person role for a private equity firm that is currently in a pivotal growth phase. The firm specializes in special situations and operationally focused investments. This role is critical as it directly supports senior investment professionals in evaluating investment opportunities and executing transactions, contributing significantly to the firm’s growth and value creation initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Analysis: Conduct in-depth investment analysis and due diligence, building and maintaining financial models, including LBO and valuation models.
• Transaction Support: Support all stages of transaction execution, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth deal processes.
• Portfolio Management: Track portfolio company performance, preparing board presentations and internal reporting packages to monitor KPIs and support value-creation.
• Firm Development: Contribute to firm development by assisting in sourcing efforts, maintaining transaction databases, and supporting investment thesis development.
• Investment Documentation: Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for investment committee discussions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on investment and financial analysis.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, restructuring, transaction advisory, or management consulting, with a proven track record in complex transactions.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills; exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience in private equity or restructuring advisory, particularly in special situations investing; exposure to sectors such as industrials, aerospace & defense, manufacturing, or business services; or progress toward professional certifications like CFA or MBA.
