Associate, Project Finance and Capital Markets | Jupiter Power

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Jupiter Power, located in Austin, TX or Chicago, IL. Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, trading, and operation of battery energy storage assets across U.S. power markets. This role is crucial for creating and maintaining financial models and analyzing assets to support capital raises through project financing and other corporate capital market transactions, directly contributing to the company’s growth and deployment of energy storage.

• Mission: This person will create and maintain financial models and analyze assets at all stages of development to facilitate capital raising through project financing and other corporate capital market transactions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model: Build and maintain project-level financial models for utility-scale battery storage assets and run scenario analysis, summarizing results for management.
• Execute: Support the execution of project finance debt, tax equity, and structured equity transactions by maintaining data rooms, managing due diligence, and coordinating external parties.
• Review: Support the review of financing documents, including credit agreements, tax equity documents, and hedging arrangements.
• Report: Prepare financial information for company reporting packages and in support of investment decisions.
• Analyze: Assist with commercial and financial analysis of power purchase agreements, tolling agreements, merchant revenue opportunities, and other ad-hoc analysis of development assets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure investing, renewable energy, investment banking, private equity, or advisory.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, high attention to detail, ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with utility-scale renewable energy or battery storage projects, familiarity with project finance debt, tax equity, or structured infrastructure investments, or experience reviewing financing documentation or supporting transaction closings.
