Job Description:
PCG is seeking motivated college students for a summer internship program designed to provide comprehensive insight into the specialty construction industry. Interns will receive close mentorship and hands-on experience to develop a foundation in construction management.
• Key Activities: Interns will be guided by a mentor and follow a structured checklist to gain exposure to various disciplines within the branch’s business. They will submit weekly project recaps detailing their activities, collaborations, and key takeaways.
• Example Tasks:
• Writing proposals
• Preparing bid analysis
• Project scheduling
• Attending pre-bid walk-throughs
• Managing project labor, material handling, and job-cost analysis
• Managing subcontractors, materials, and equipment
• Working with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors
• Preparing quantity take-offs
• Maintaining project documentation
• Financial job cost analysis
• Administering the corporate safety program
• Understanding specialized equipment utilization
• Tracking and costing value material handling
