Job Description

PCG is offering a summer internship program for motivated college students pursuing degrees in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related fields. The internship provides hands-on experience in the specialty construction industry. Interns will be mentored and exposed to various disciplines within the company.

Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:

Proposal Writing: Learn how to write detailed proposals.
Bid Analysis: Prepare bid analysis and review processes.
Project Scheduling: Understand and demonstrate project scheduling.
Pre-Bid Walk-Throughs: Attend pre-bid walk-throughs.
Project Management: Learn about project labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis.
Subcontractor & Resource Management: Learn how to effectively manage subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
Client Interaction: Work directly with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Quantity Take-Offs: Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs.
Project Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence.
Financial Analysis: Understand the preparation of a financial job cost analysis.
Safety Program: Learn the administration of the corporate safety program to ensure job site safety.
Equipment Utilization: Understand specialized equipment utilization.
Material Handling: Track and cost value material handling.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $25 an hour.
• Relocation reimbursement and corporate housing options available.
