Job Description
PCI is seeking motivated college students for a summer internship program to gain insight into the specialty construction industry. Interns will receive mentorship and hands-on experience to develop a foundation in construction management.
Key aspects of the internship:
• Mentorship: Each intern will be paired with a dedicated mentor.
• Structured Activities: Interns will follow a checklist exposing them to various disciplines.
• Weekly Recaps: Interns will submit weekly reports detailing activities, collaborations, and key takeaways.
Examples of tasks:
• Learn proposal writing
• Prepare bid analysis and review
• Understand project scheduling
• Attend pre-bid walk-throughs
• Learn project labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis
• Learn how to manage subcontractors, materials, and equipment
• Work with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors
• Assist in quantity take-offs
• Maintain project documentation and correspondence
• Understand financial job cost analysis
• Learn corporate safety program administration
• Understand specialized equipment utilization
• Track and cost value material handling
Compensation and Benefits:
