Investment Banking Associate | Plante Moran
The Tone:
This is a full-time Investment Banking Associate role at Plante Moran, located in the Metro Detroit, Chicagoland, or Denver areas. Plante Moran, through its affiliate PMCF, is one of the dozen largest accounting and professional services firms in the nation, providing merger and acquisition services to middle market companies across North America, Europe, and Asia. This role is crucial for delivering quality and accurate data analysis and supervisory support, directly contributing to the successful development and execution of M&A transactions for a diverse client base.

• Pay: $135000–$155000 yearly
• Team: Investment banking team, organized by industry specializations including Industrials, Plastics & Packaging, Business Services, Technology & Software, Consumer/Food/Retail, and Healthcare.
• Mission: Provide qualitative and data-driven components essential for the development and execution of M&A transactions.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversight: Oversee and ensure the accuracy of analyst duties, including review of modeling, research methodology, and deal wrap-up activities.
• Analysis: Develop various analytical and data-driven components required for the development of M&A transactions.
• Research: Research industries and/or companies to create prospective buyer lists, generate industry overviews, and support practice development.
• Modeling: Develop and manipulate financial models and/or valuations for assessing financing, structure, and cash flow feasibility.
• Documentation: Write and edit assigned sections of selling documents, information requests, due diligence lists, and management presentations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience: At least 3 years of work experience in investment banking or a transactional-related field is required.
• Skills: Data analysis, supervisory responsibilities, problem-solving, a focus on quality and accuracy, financial modeling, and research skills.
• Bonus: MBS preferred but not required. Qualified individuals must reside in or near the Metro Detroit, Chicagoland, or Denver area or be willing to relocate for this opportunity.
