Associate, In-Store Demonstrator | Crossmark Inc.

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Crossmark Inc., located in various retail store environments. Crossmark, through its Product Connections brand, specializes in connecting brands with consumers through engaging in-store events and demonstrations. This role is crucial for directly interacting with shoppers, showcasing products, and driving sales by creating memorable brand experiences at the point of purchase. You will be instrumental in making a direct impact on product visibility and consumer engagement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage: Proactively intercept and engage consumers, effectively communicating product features and benefits to drive sales.
• Prepare: Safely prepare and serve food and non-food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives, while adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Maintain: Ensure a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using appropriate cleaning chemicals, and maintain a professional appearance consistent with retailer dress codes.
• Execute: Achieve 100% execution on all assigned work and demonstrations, including proper setup and preparation of the Event Table for optimal presentation.
• Administer: Accurately complete and submit all required online reports and expense reports on the same day as event execution, utilizing company electronic systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a local Food Handler’s Permit may be required depending on location.
• Experience: Proficiency in operating small kitchen appliances (e.g., microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers) and knives for safe food preparation and serving. Experience with personal computers and mobile devices for navigating applications and internal company systems.
• Skills:
• Direct consumer engagement and product sales
• Safe food handling and hygiene practices
• Workstation setup and maintenance
• Digital navigation and data entry
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing, lifting up to 25 pounds (occasionally 50 pounds), and pushing/pulling equipment.
• Bonus: One to three months’ related experience and/or training in demonstration, sales, or customer service roles. Bilingual language skills based on business necessity.
