Job Description:
Lockheed Martin is seeking an Associate Contracts Management professional to join their Contracts team in Dallas. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the Applied Research, Tactical Missile Advanced Programs, and Special Program product areas under the Advanced Programs line of business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with proposal preparation, negotiations, contract administration, guidance, and closeout.
• Reviewing and evaluating customer requests for proposals/information or contract revisions.
• Participating in proposal development, briefing package reviews, fact-finding, and negotiations.
• Supporting the creation and execution of Intra-Lockheed Martin Work Transfer Agreements.
• Conducting risk assessments and proposing mitigation strategies, including alternative contractual language.
• Investigating and reconciling contract changes related to cost, specifications, schedules, etc.
• Advising management on contractual rights and responsibilities.
• Handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Serving as the primary contact with US Government contracting officers and the DCMA administrative contracting officer.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Analytical skills with experience using Excel spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
Desired Skills:
• Emerging leadership skills.
• Experience with proposal writing.
• Background in finance or law.
• Self-starter with a strong aptitude for learning.
• Prior contracts experience.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations.
• Experience with CPFF/FFP contract types.
• Experience in contracting with the U.S. Government.
• Commercial sales experience.
• Knowledge of EVMS/DATA Rights.
• Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
