Accounting Associate – CAAS Construction | CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen)

As an Accounting Associate within the CAAS Construction team, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily, monthly, and quarterly financial operations for multiple construction clients, directly contributing to their financial health and operational success.

• Mission: This person owns the accurate and timely processing of client financial transactions and completion of financial statements and reconciliations for construction industry clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Develop the capacity to manage diverse client accounts, various software platforms, and multiple charts of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Daily Transaction Processing: Coordinate and execute daily financial transactions including accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month-End Close: Complete financial statements and perform comprehensive account reconciliations, such as bank, credit card, prepaids, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
• Advanced Reconciliations: Undertake complex account reconciliations that have been previously set up and supported by senior team members.
• Regulatory Filings: Prepare and complete quarterly and annual items, including sales tax returns and Form 1099s, as client needs dictate.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree is required, or an equivalent combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
