The Tone:
This is a full-time, entry-level role at Fitch Ratings, located in New York, NY. Fitch Ratings is a leading provider of independent and prospective credit opinions, commentary, and research, offering global perspectives to help investors make confident credit judgments. As an Associate Analyst, you will be immersed in the credit rating process, contributing valuable insights that support the company’s commitment to independent and forward-looking analysis. The program is designed to provide recent graduates with a broad analytical perspective and practical on-the-job learning.

• Team: Assigned to a specific Fitch Ratings product group and placed in an analytical team.
• Mission: To fully immerse in the credit rating process and develop a high level of service to investors and issuers through team-oriented ratings analysis.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate with senior analysts to assign new issuer ratings.
• Gather and analyze the latest industry, regulatory, and economic information.
• Evaluate risk and participate in rating committees.
• Draft rating affirmations.
• Write research reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Graduates from December 2026 to June 2027 with a strong interest in credit, fixed income, and industry analysis.
• Experience: Less than 12 months of relevant full-time experience. Must be able to work in New York with a hybrid office schedule and have work authorization in the U.S. Ability to start July 2027.
• Skills: Intellectually curious with financial flair; strong, clear, and concise communication skills, both verbal and written; a passion for finance, research, and analysis; high integrity and objectivity.
• Bonus: A plus if you study one or more of the following majors: Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, and/or Political Science.
