Associate – In-Store Demonstrator
Product Connections, a part of Acosta Group, is seeking a dynamic and engaging Associate to conduct in-store food and non-food demonstrations. As an integral part of our full-service marketing agency, you will be on the front lines, connecting consumers with brands and driving sales through interactive product experiences.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase products, build rapport with shoppers and store personnel, and contribute to the success of leading brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Demonstrations: Successfully complete in-store food and non-food product demonstrations.
- Product Expertise: Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all represented products, including their features and benefits.
- Preparation & Setup: Prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies efficiently and safely. This includes properly setting up the Event Table for execution.
- Consumer Engagement: Proactively intercept, engage, interact with, and demonstrate products to consumers in a professional, positive, and persuasive manner, aiming to sell the product.
- Food Handling & Preparation: Safely prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation, utilizing appropriate cleaning chemicals.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements and specific retailer dress codes.
- Operational Excellence: Achieve 100% execution on assigned work, assist with preparations for client visits, and complete audit corrections.
- Store Relations: Build and maintain positive rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete expense reports as per Company Policy and accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Technical Proficiency: Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents (including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms).

- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in the ability to use and navigate a personal computer or personal mobile device using applications and internal systems.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A local Food Handler’s Permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: The associate will be regularly required to:
- Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (including conducting tasks overhead up to 65 inches).
- Talk and hear; have visual ability to read instructions and perform events.
- Stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, and balance.
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds (including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).
- Push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product.
- Prepare foods and beverages using required appliances such as cooking utensils, knives, convection ovens, coffee makers, electric fryers, and microwaves.
- Be in contact with cleaning supplies.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
- Work Environment: Primarily a retail store environment with limited travel.
- Physical Appearance: Individuals must ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming is in order. The associate must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific Retailer Dress code requirements are included in the training documents.
- Language Skills: English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
Employment Details & Compensation
- Position Type: Part-time
- Work Hours: This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains the discretion to change the role based on business and/or client needs.
