What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Operational Planning: Assist the General Manager in the comprehensive planning and analysis of all administrative and operational aspects, setting the stage for achieving planned sales and profit levels.
• Drive Guest Satisfaction: Take direct responsibility for ensuring maximum guest satisfaction by overseeing that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented precisely to established standards, and by promptly addressing any service-related system breakdowns.
• Manage Talent & Staffing: Direct all facets of restaurant staffing, from recruitment, interviewing, and selection to comprehensive training and development, ensuring sufficient manpower and a highly productive team.
• Ensure Quality & Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary restaurant environment by enforcing strict compliance with all productivity and service standards, managing facility and equipment through preventive maintenance, and monitoring food temperatures to prevent food-borne illness.
• Oversee Financial Controls: Administer accurate financial data including payroll, cash, receipts, and food costs, ensuring proper handling of all payment information, security of funds, and managing inventory levels through correct ordering and usage.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial career level. Candidates must hold a high school diploma, with a preference for those who have completed some college coursework or possess a degree.
• Experience: Requires one to two years of prior experience in a supervisory capacity, ideally within the demanding environment of the food service industry.
• Skills: Essential skills include the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, guests, and vendors through both in-person interactions and telephone calls, alongside the capacity to expertly coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Bonus: ServSafe certification is a significant advantage for this role, and candidates will be expected to attend and successfully complete all coursework at the University of Perkins, including manager training which yields college credits.
