The Tone:
This is a seasonal contract role at Black Rocket, offered in multiple locations across over 30 states. Black Rocket develops unique educational programs that blend creativity and technology for children and young adults. This role is crucial for inspiring young students, fostering critical thinking, and igniting their talents through hands-on learning experiences with exciting new technologies. Your work will prepare kids for tomorrow in a way they find cool and engaging.

• Type: Seasonal (4-10 weeks), Monday-Friday
• Location: Multiple locations across over 30 states
• Pay: $13–$15 hourly
• Mission: Inspire children and young adults by teaching engaging technology and creative problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Facilitate: Deliver engaging in-room technology and creative arts programs to children aged 6-14.
• Guide: Support students in hands-on learning activities across various tech education topics like coding, game design, and digital arts.
• Inspire: Cultivate a fun and stimulating environment where students can explore and develop their unique talents in technology.
• Troubleshoot: Provide technical assistance and problem-solving support during program sessions.
• Engage: Work directly with students, fostering their interest and excitement for STEM and creative technology.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum age of 18 years or older. Entry-level position; college students studying education, computer science, digital arts, or similar fields are encouraged.
• Experience: No specific formal experience required; however, experience with children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Skills: Strong technology skills such as 3D modeling, coding, game creation, animation, robotics, or significant knowledge of Minecraft/Roblox. Ability to troubleshoot tech issues.
• Bonus: Prior experience with kids in a formal or informal setting (e.g., babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring) is a plus. Must love working with kids and be authorized to work in the United States.
