Assistant General Manager | Trulieve

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at Trulieve, located at one of its retail dispensaries. Trulieve cultivates hand-grown plants to produce medical cannabis products designed to bring relief to patients from conditions such as seizures, pain, and nausea. This role is crucial in supporting store operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive experience for both patients and staff. The Assistant General Manager contributes directly to helping others in need through a trusted product and compassionate care.

• Team: Reports to General Manager
• Mission: To support the General Manager in leading store personnel, managing inventory, achieving key performance metrics, and ensuring efficient daily operations with regulatory compliance and exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Implementation: Partner with the General Manager to plan and implement strategies that drive service standards and achieve positive sales results.
• Brand and Operational Compliance: Maintain brand standards in visual merchandising and ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state-specific regulations and company SOPs.
• Team Development: Provide coaching, training, and development to the team, focusing on company service standards and accountability to meet objectives.
• Inventory and Patient Management: Monitor and maintain store inventory, and handle and resolve patient issues and escalations when on duty.
• Financial Oversight: Assist the General Manager in managing the labor budget to meet the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager; minimum two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Prior cash handling experience required; demonstrated ability to train, develop, and evaluate a team of 40+ employees.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion; able to communicate effectively in conversational English; proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions; ability to interact respectfully with customers, including those experiencing emotional distress.
• Bonus: Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service areas.
