About Company and Job Description
I’m the founder of an early-stage SaaS startup building AI-powered content automation tools for marketers and solopreneurs. I’m looking for a sharp, curious assistant to work closely with me across operations, business development, and product exploration.
This is a hands-on role for someone excited to learn how a real startup works from the inside. You’ll help with everything from competitive research to AI prompt testing to scouting potential partners. You’ll sit at the intersection of product, growth, and founder decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Competitor Research: Investigate what similar products are doing: pricing, user flows, marketing channels, and more. Turn findings into clear reports.
• Prompt & UX Analysis: Reverse-engineer how competitors use AI prompts and engagement loops. Document best practices we might adapt.
• Lightweight Technical Digs: Use browser dev tools, Postman, or public APIs to explore how other tools are built. No coding required — just curiosity.
• Operational Support: Help organize internal docs, workflows, async updates, and meeting notes. Keep things moving behind the scenes.
• Growth & Biz Dev Experiments: Assist with outreach, partnership scouting, pitch prep, and CRM tracking.
Ideal for You If…
• You’re a student or early-career person interested in tech startups, product strategy, or AI tools
• You enjoy deep research, fast learning, and figuring things out with little direction
• You’re fluent in English and can write clearly and concisely
• Bonus if you understand tools like Notion, ChatGPT, Webflow, Airtable, Figma, or APIs (even a little!)
Details:
• Type: Unpaid internship or part-time assistant (10–20 hrs/week)
• Location: Remote — must overlap at least 3 hours with U.S. Pacific Time
• Duration: Flexible — ideally 3 months minimum
• Growth: Strong performers may be invited to convert into a paid or equity-based role
What You’ll Get:
• Hands-on experience in startup ops, product testing, and market analysis
• 1:1 mentorship directly with a startup founder
• Portfolio-building projects and references for future roles
• Exposure to the inner workings of product-led SaaS
• (Optional) Letter of recommendation or LinkedIn endorsement
How to Apply:
Send a short note with:
• 2–3 sentences about why this role excites you
• Any example of research, writing, or project work you’ve done
• Your LinkedIn profile or resume
