About the Asset Management Intern Role:
As an Asset Management Intern, you will be a crucial member of the Comstock asset management team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely and accurate communications both internally and externally with JV partners. You will be actively involved in the financial analysis, reporting, and underwriting of potential and in-place asset transactions and joint ventures. This role covers a diverse portfolio, including commercial, multifamily, and hotel assets located in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, offering terrific exposure to Asset Management and additional disciplines within the real estate industry.
Internship Details:
• Program Dates: June 1st through August 7th
• Compensation: This is a paid internship.
• Location: On-site requirement
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform sensitivity analysis and discounted cash flow analysis.
• Assist with deal tracking information for leasing and development.
• Contribute to any necessary financial and joint venture relations activity.
• Assist the Asset Management team with day-to-day functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be a Rising Junior or Senior.
• Pursuing a Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Prior industry internship/work experience and a strong interest in Real Estate is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new software programs.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• A strong desire to continuously learn and develop.
• Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with others in a team setting.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
