About the Job
This is a full-time, 12-month position overseeing the Arts & Sciences internship program. The role reports to the Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identifying and Developing Opportunities: Actively seek out and create new internship opportunities for students in various Arts & Sciences disciplines.
• Marketing: Promote internship opportunities to students through various channels.
• Connecting Students: Match students with appropriate internships based on their skills, interests, and academic goals.
• Monitoring: Track student progress and performance during internships.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, faculty, staff, and students.
• Program Growth: Expand and improve the quality of the internship program, with the goal of increasing both the number of participating internship sites and student participants.
• Faculty Collaboration: Work with faculty to ensure internships align with academic curricula and are appropriate for specific disciplines.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of internships for reporting purposes.
• Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity: Demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs, and practices.
