Intern, Brand Partnerships, Artists Against Hunger & Poverty | WhyHunger
The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship opportunity at WhyHunger, available remotely with an option for a hybrid in-office schedule. WhyHunger funds and supports community solutions to protect the human right to food, championing socially and economically just food systems. This role contributes to the organization’s mission by building strategic brand partnerships that mobilize entertainment for social change, furthering efforts to address the root causes of hunger and ensure access to nutritious food.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct thorough research to identify and prospect potential brand partners for Artists Against Hunger & Poverty.
• Documentation: Generate consistent, organized research documents utilizing provided spreadsheet templates.
• Drafting: Prepare written materials such as outreach messages and proposals for prospective partners.
• Outreach: Engage in initial cold pitching to identified brands to explore collaboration opportunities.
• Collaboration: Communicate effectively and work alongside the Artists Against Hunger & Poverty Team to support overarching goals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Communications, Marketing, Entertainment Management, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Student level with strong organizational skills and attention to detail; prior experience in brand partnerships is a plus but not required.
• Skills: Excellent and consistent research skills, keen and creative problem-solving abilities, proficiency in tracking down hard-to-find information via internet research.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of popular culture, interest in cause-related work, marketing and communications knowledge.
