Job Description:

Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking an ARC News Department Intern to join their dynamic news team in Las Vegas, NV (at the KSNV station). This internship offers hands-on experience in news reporting and journalism, with exposure to the inner workings of a newsroom. The intern will contribute to the creation of compelling news stories, assist in research, conduct interviews, and learn about various aspects of news production. ARC is Sinclair’s newest news concept: Authentic, Relevant, and Community focused news.

Responsibilities:

• Work with reporters, anchors, producers, editors, and photographers, both in-house and in the field.
• Receive training on various topics, including producing a news segment from the control room, researching and pitching stories, operating camera equipment, and understanding different shot types.
• Contributing to compelling news stories.
• Assisting with research.
• Conducting interviews.

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or be considered a recent graduate.
• Must be at least in your sophomore year of an accredited college/university.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Willing to work approximately 15 hours a week for 10 weeks, beginning in June 2025 or sooner.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work from the Las Vegas, NV location.
