What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver Instruction: Provide personalized, in-depth 1-on-1 and instant online tutoring to individual students.
• Prepare Students: Focus instruction on preparing students for success on the AP Environmental Science examination.
• Guide Problem-Solving: Guide students through ecological calculations, analyzing environmental case studies, and interpreting data.
• Adapt Teaching: Adapt instruction using real-world examples, current environmental news, and AP-style practice for varying student needs.
• Explain Concepts: Clearly explain complex AP Environmental Science topics such as biogeochemical cycles and environmental legislation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core AP Environmental Science topics, including ecosystems, biodiversity, population ecology, land and water use, energy resources, atmospheric pollution, climate change, and environmental policy as outlined in the APES framework.
• Experience: Proven capacity to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles, identifying common struggles and explaining material using multiple approaches.
• Skills: Advanced subject mastery, conceptual teaching, problem-solving, curriculum awareness, strong communication skills, and an engaging teaching style.
• Bonus: Ability to emphasize systems thinking and connect environmental science to broader fields like public health, urban planning, and international policy.
