Job Description:
ASAA is seeking a part-time instructor to teach AP Computer Science A online. The instructor will deliver group instruction to small groups of students (2-6) using pre-existing teaching materials, assess student performance, provide feedback, and ensure curriculum completion within designated timelines. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver group instruction (2-6 students) online.
• Utilize pre-existing teaching materials to ensure thorough comprehension of the subject matter.
• Assess and grade students’ in-class performance, providing constructive feedback to facilitate academic progress.
• Ensure timely completion of the curriculum within designated timelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Master’s or Ph.D./EdD preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in the relevant subject area; high school teaching experience is advantageous.
• Able to offer either:
• Option 1: 7:00 am – 9:30 am (Eastern Time), Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (Min. 7.5 hours per week)
• Option 2: 7:00 am – 9:30 am (Eastern Time), Saturday and Sunday (Min. 5 hours per week)
• Cooperative demeanor, a passion for teaching, and a flexible schedule for evenings and weekends.
