Job Description:
ASAA is seeking a Part-Time AP Computer Science A Instructor to deliver online instruction to small groups (2-6 students). The instructor will utilize pre-existing teaching materials to ensure thorough comprehension of the subject matter, assess and grade student performance, provide constructive feedback, and ensure timely completion of the curriculum. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver group (2-6 students) online instruction in AP Computer Science A.
• Utilize pre-existing teaching materials.
• Assess and grade students’ in-class performance.
• Provide constructive feedback to facilitate academic progress.
• Ensure timely completion of the curriculum.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area; Master’s or Ph.D./EdD is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in the relevant subject area; high school teaching experience is advantageous.
• Able to offer 2-3 available time slots during weekdays.
• Cooperative demeanor, a passion for teaching, and a flexible schedule for evenings and weekends.
Preference Working Time (Eastern Time):
• Option 1: 7:00 am – 9:30 am, 3 times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), minimum 7.5 hours per week.
• Option 2: 7:00 am – 9:30 am, 2 times per week (Saturday, Sunday), minimum 5 hours per week.
