Litigation Paralegal | The Forum Group

The Tone:
This is an in-person role at The Forum Group, a firm dedicated to assisting clients with the complexities of legal cases. The company provides essential legal services and relies heavily on its support staff for operational success. As a cornerstone of our legal support team, this role is critical for ensuring the smooth progression and successful resolution of legal matters, contributing directly to client satisfaction and case outcomes.

• Team: A key member of the Legal Support Team, reporting directly to a designated Attorney.
• Mission: To provide crucial analytical and administrative support, facilitating the successful resolution of legal cases from initiation to completion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Interaction: Conduct interviews with clients to build rapport and accurately gather all necessary case-related information and details.
• Legal Research: Perform in-depth legal research using various methods, including both in-person and desktop resources, throughout every phase of a case.
• Document Preparation: Accurately complete, submit, and systematically store all pertinent legal documentation, always under the direct guidance of the designated Attorney.
• Presentation Development: Design and set up compelling visual presentations to effectively convey evidence and key information during trials or other legal proceedings.
• Legislative Monitoring: Continuously stay updated on amendments to relevant case law and legislation to ensure compliance and informed support for legal matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completion of a formally recognized paralegal qualification, coupled with a current license to practice as a litigation paralegal within the specific region, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of all pertinent legislation and legal precedent.
• Experience: Prior professional experience serving as a litigation paralegal or in a closely related legal support role, with a proven track record of assisting with case resolution.
• Skills: Strong computer literacy for managing legal software and databases, impeccable verbal and written communication abilities for clear interactions, outstanding interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration, and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
• Bonus: While not strictly required, a Bachelor’s degree in Law is considered highly advantageous, and candidates should be prepared for the ability to work overtime on occasion when case demands require it.
