Capital Markets Analyst- Tax Credit Syndication | Advantage Capital

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Advantage Capital, located in New Orleans, LA. Advantage Capital is a national impact investment firm providing innovative financing solutions across energy, affordable housing, small business, and community development initiatives. This role is crucial for supporting the syndication of the firm’s diverse tax credit platforms, directly contributing to the execution of large-scale institutional transactions that exceed $1 billion in annual placements. The position offers early exposure to significant financial processes and direct interaction with sophisticated institutional investors.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Syndication: Facilitate the execution of tax credit syndication transactions from initial analysis to final close.
• Analyze Financials: Evaluate and interpret project-level financial models and underwriting documentation.
• Develop Materials: Create professional investor-facing presentations, deal summaries, and other transaction materials.
• Coordinate Processes: Aid in pricing analysis, investor allocation, and closing procedures for complex transactions.
• Conduct Research: Perform targeted research on institutional investors and capital markets activities to support ongoing relationships.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a rigorous undergraduate program with a minimum 3.5 GPA; intended for a high-performing graduating senior or an early-career finance professional.
• Experience: For non-graduating seniors, approximately 1–2 years out of undergrad with experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, project finance, infrastructure, or related analytical roles.
• Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with comfort working with financial models; excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional external stakeholder presentations; advanced Excel and proficient PowerPoint skills.
