Investment Banking Analyst – Consumer | TD Securities

This Investment Banking Analyst position is fundamental to the Consumer team, contributing specialized financial and statistical analysis, rigorous research, and essential due diligence to support critical marketing and execution activities across the firm’s diverse client engagements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial and Statistical Analysis: Provide specialized financial and statistical analysis on a broad range of marketing and execution activities for clients within the consumer sector.
• Research and Due Diligence: Conduct thorough research, perform ongoing analytical tasks, and prepare comprehensive supporting documentation while assisting in due diligence efforts for various transactions.
• Client Financial Evaluation: Assist in the detailed analysis of clients’ financial situations, relevant industry and market data, and potential merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities.
• Financial Modeling and Valuation: Perform basic to intermediate financial modeling using Excel to support the valuation of both private and public companies involved in transactions.
• Proposal and Presentation Development: Provide essential input for the creation of external client proposals and internal underwriting memos, and assist in the preparation of compelling client presentations based on analysis.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold an undergraduate degree in Business (with a focus on Accounting or Finance) or a degree in Mathematics/Economics.
• Experience: Possess 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a related field.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform specialized financial and statistical analysis; proficiency in basic to intermediate financial modeling using Excel; current and active Series 7, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses.
