Renewable Energy Analyst | Advantage Capital

The Tone:
This is a full-time Analyst role at Advantage Capital, with a primary location preference for New York City, though St. Louis or New Orleans are also options. As a Renewable Energy Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating potential equity investments in various energy asset classes, ensuring both measurable community impact and competitive financial returns. What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate Investments: Assess potential equity investments in various energy asset classes and supply chains, aligning with measurable impact alongside financial return objectives.
• Support Transactions: Assist with the due diligence process, underwriting, and closing of diverse transaction types, including partnership flips, lease pass-throughs, and transferable credits.
• Prepare Presentations: Develop comprehensive financial models and contribute to crafting and pitching investment presentations for internal committee approval.
• Monitor Portfolio: Conduct ongoing portfolio-company monitoring and engage in value-added activities, such as quarterly reviews and funding support.
• Represent Firm: Act as a representative for Advantage Capital in front of institutional investors and counterparties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. This is an early career role.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant work experience, specifically including financial analysis and modeling.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), excellent verbal and written communications, and a demonstrated intellectual curiosity and flexibility.
