Analyst, Capital Markets | Sterling Organization

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Sterling Organization, located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Sterling Organization is a vertically integrated private equity real estate investment firm focused on investing in real estate assets across the risk spectrum in major markets within the United States. This role is crucial for assisting the firm’s debt capital markets group in managing all property-level and corporate financing transactions. The position requires developing an in-depth understanding of debt capital markets and shopping center properties to support the firm’s investment strategy.

What You’ll Actually Do
Transaction Execution: Assist the Capital Markets team with all phases of corporate and property-level loan executions, coordinating documentation of transaction business points with Sterling’s legal team.
Market Facilitation: Facilitate broker bidding processes for new financings and refinancings, including creating loan marketing materials and assisting with property and fund-level diligence requests.
Lender Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for lenders during the due diligence process, promptly answering all diligence requests and gathering or creating required documents.
Portfolio Monitoring: Continually review the owned asset portfolio of over 75 properties to proactively identify financing-related opportunities and approaching debt maturities, communicating future debt assumptions to relevant teams.
Financial Reporting: Work closely with the construction and accounting teams to orchestrate loan draws for active construction/development projects and manage the reporting of loan covenant calculations and future forecasts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a related concentration, providing core domain knowledge for commercial real estate financing.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The role involves developing an in-depth understanding of commercial real estate loans and financial modeling processes.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills with a team-first mentality. Highly analytical, self-motivated, and strategic, with strong attention to detail and the ability to excel under pressure, coupled with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Advanced degree preferred. Experience with Argus and/or Yardi is a plus.
