Job Description: Analyst, Applied Analytics

This entry-level position within Starcom’s Applied Analytics team requires utilizing research, data, reporting, and analytical techniques to address client business challenges. The role involves contributing to the development and implementation of “test-and-learn” approaches aligned with client objectives, and adhering to best practices in research, analytics, and campaign measurement.

Responsibilities:

Daily Research & Analytics: Drive day-to-day research and analytics efforts, delivering impactful and actionable insights.
Research Execution: Support the execution of customer, media, brand, and market research to identify opportunities and insights.
Insight Synthesis: Synthesize research findings, identifying overarching themes to benefit the client’s business.
Campaign Reporting & Optimization: Report on key campaign metrics, developing findings to optimize performance.
Internal Data Sharing: Facilitate the communication of data and insights among internal teams to inform future strategies.
Target Development & Analysis: Develop and analyze media and brand targets to shape media strategies.
Syndicated Research Application: Utilize syndicated research (Nielsen, MRI, ComScore, eMarketer, etc.) and agency research applications to solve client business problems.
Client Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with internal client teams.
Resource Maximization: Assist internal groups in effectively using available research sources and proprietary studies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred, ideally in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights.
Experience: 6+ months of relevant experience in media/marketing research, consumer insights, business consulting, or data analysis.
Research Skills: Demonstrated interest in quantitative and qualitative research, experimental design, and data analysis.
Work Style: Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual capable of independent and team work.
Technical Skills (Plus): Knowledge of statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R, Python) and experience with Tableau, GoodData, Datorama, and SQL.
Soft Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills).
