Supply Chain Intern | AIT Worldwide Logistics

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at AIT Worldwide Logistics, a global logistics organization with over 150 worldwide locations. We are a freight forwarder that helps companies expand access to markets globally, enabling them to procure and sell raw materials, components, and finished goods. This role is crucial for learning the intricacies of supply chain management, offering practical experience in a vital industry. You will contribute to our mission of delivering customer satisfaction by optimizing logistics solutions and embracing continuous learning.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, various worldwide locations (rotational program)
• Mission: Gain practical experience in logistics, learning to manage and optimize global supply chains to solve customer problems.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications, database management operations

What You’ll Actually Do
• Experience: Work alongside experienced team members to gain practical knowledge in managing and optimizing the supply chain.
• Training: Attend formal sessions led by industry experts to learn about AIT products, industry regulations, processes, and systems.
• Certification: Earn an AIT Evolve Certificate in either Air or Ocean operations.
• Data Management: Perform data entry activities, database management operations, and maintain client files.
• Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing excellent external and internal customer service.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent graduate or student graduating within the next 12 months with a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or a related field.
• Experience: Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; strong planning, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities; robust analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to interpret data; ability to thrive in a high-speed work setting and learn quickly.
• Bonus: Bilingual in additional languages is a plus; a collaborative team player; a strong work ethic with appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy; a growth mindset, continuously seeking self-improvement and company advancement, open to change and new approaches; a customer service focus, building relationships with internal and external customers.
