Administrator in Training (AIT) | Life Care Centers of America

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person Administrator in Training role with Life Care Centers of America. This critical program is designed to develop future leaders who will oversee facility operations, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care in accordance with all governing laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Upon successful completion of the training, this role requires relocation to a facility location to provide leadership in the post-acute care environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn Operations: Gain comprehensive knowledge of overall facility operations, including financial, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical functions.
• Uphold Policies: Understand and uphold facility policies related to patient care, caregiving, support staff, financial control, public relations, and maintenance of the physical plant.
• Manage Budgets: Learn to prepare and manage annual budgets to meet facility needs and division goals while adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
• Ensure Compliance: Serve as the facility’s Compliance Liaison and ensure adherence to all Federal, State, local, and JCAHO requirements.
• Maintain Facility Standards: Ensure the facility remains clean and safe for the comfort, convenience, and safety of patients, families, and staff.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. This role is for an Administrator in Training within the long-term care domain.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in long term care.
• Skills: Ability to read and interpret financial records and reports, make independent decisions when circumstances warrant, knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities, and maintaining professional working relationships with all associates and vendors.
• Bonus: Active state license in good standing as a Nursing Home Administrator or eligibility to sit for the exam after AIT Training, three (3) or more years’ successful post-acute care experience, or certification with the American College (ACHCA).
