Job Description: Aircraft Engineering Co-op

Job Summary:

The Aircraft Engineering Co-op position supports engineers in resolving aircraft maintenance and reliability issues. Responsibilities include researching technical problems, drafting engineering orders, creating CAD drawings, analyzing data, and contributing to broader engineering projects. The co-op will be placed within one of the following disciplines: Structures, Powerplant, Systems, or Avionics, based on both the co-op’s skills and the department’s needs. This is a three-semester co-op program requiring alternating semesters of work.

Responsibilities:

• Identify the impact of problems across different business areas and recommend process or program improvements.
• Implement process improvements in collaboration with analysts, users, and project sponsors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) earned within the last 24 months, or current enrollment in an engineering or related program (Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Preferred: Sufficient knowledge of programming and algorithms.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, resourceful, customer-service focused, and a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Working Conditions:

Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
