This specific job posting seeks an experienced Aircraft Component Inspector to join their team at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The role involves performing meticulous inspections on various aircraft components, ensuring their quality and compliance with stringent standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Comprehensive Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections on a wide range of aircraft components, from individual parts to complete assemblies, encompassing systems like transmissions, rotor heads, gearboxes, and power plants.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize technical drawings, inspection procedures, manuals, and other documentation to perform detailed evaluations and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Problem Solving: Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and field service personnel to identify and resolve component discrepancies, troubleshoot malfunctions, and address customer requests.
• Quality Assurance: Review and sign documents, manage nonconforming materials, and ensure the implementation of latest revisions and modifications.
• Leadership: Lead and mentor junior inspectors, sharing expertise and contributing to the team’s success.
Qualifications:
• Strong foundation in aircraft component inspection procedures, manufacturing processes, and mechanical operations.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, use precision measuring instruments, and follow engineering instructions.
• Familiarity with military and commercial specifications and inspection practices.
• Completion of high school and relevant mechanical trades training.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in aircraft component inspection.
• Possession of Flight Safety Parts Certification is mandatory.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplants Certification is highly desirable.
