Job Description: AI Summer Intern

This is a full-time, paid, 10-week internship at Regal Rexnord’s Grafton or Milwaukee offices, starting in June 2025. The internship focuses on assisting the Chief Data Scientist in driving digital transformation initiatives. The role offers hands-on experience in a real-world business environment for students passionate about artificial intelligence, data analytics, and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Chief Data Scientist to identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and AI to improve operations.
• Designing, developing, and implementing AI models, algorithms, and solutions to address business challenges.
• Researching emerging trends, tools, and techniques in AI, machine learning, and data science.
• Integrating AI solutions into existing systems and workflows, ensuring seamless adoption and scalability.
• Supporting data collection, preprocessing, and cleansing to ensure data quality.
• Gathering stakeholder feedback and iterating on solutions to improve AI model performance.
• Documenting processes and best practices for knowledge sharing.
• Presenting findings and progress to peers and senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Preferred familiarity with Python, SQL, and Power BI.
• Basic understanding of data analytics and statistical methods.
• Strong analytical skills, including identifying patterns and drawing conclusions from data.
• Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach and idea generation abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism.
