What You Will Work On: Shaping the Next Generation of AI

By joining the Seed Edge initiative, you will be at the forefront of AI innovation, collaborating with us to deeply explore and advance critical frontiers. Your work will involve:

Novel Intrinsic Reward Mechanisms: Dive deep into the exploration of groundbreaking intrinsic reward mechanisms, enabling AI models to achieve autonomous learning and continual self-improvement without constant external supervision.
Long-Term Memory Systems: Spearhead the development of advanced long-term memory mechanisms, essential for supporting the next generation of efficient reasoning models and facilitating long-sequence reasoning and modeling in complex scenarios.
Multimodal Perception & Fusion: Push the boundaries of multimodal perception by developing scalable methods to extract profound knowledge from massive multimodal datasets, even those characterized by ultra-low signal-to-noise ratios. Concurrently, you will lay a solid foundation for robust multimodal fusion and unified modeling architectures.
Tool Use & Visually Grounded Action: Investigate how AI models can intelligently utilize tools and develop sophisticated visually grounded action capabilities. This includes pioneering new approaches to foundation modeling for full-modality agents and enabling advanced interactive learning in complex environments.

Qualifications: Who We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

Academic Pursuit: Currently pursuing a PhD degree, with an expected graduation date in 2027 or later, in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Mathematics, Physics, or closely related fields.
Research Acumen: Possess solid research experience in one or more of the following critical areas: LLMs (Large Language Models), computer vision, multimodal learning, AIGC (AI-Generated Content), or general machine learning.
Problem-Solving & Curiosity: Demonstrate strong curiosity and exceptional problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to independently explore and devise innovative solutions.
Collaboration & Drive: Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills, fueled by a deep passion for advancing fundamental technologies. You should be self-driven, open-minded in exploring unconventional ideas, and committed to iterative experimentation to push forward the boundaries of AI research.

Preferred Qualifications:

Foundational Knowledge: A solid understanding of core machine learning principles and sophisticated algorithmic thinking. Prior publications at top-tier conferences/journals (e.g., CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, etc.) are highly valued.
Programming Prowess: Proficient in C/C++ or Python, demonstrating strong programming skills. Recognition in prestigious competitions such as ACM/ICPC, NOI/IOI, TopCoder, or Kaggle is a significant asset.
Leadership & Impact: Proven experience leading impactful projects in any of these critical domains: multimodal learning, LLMs, foundation models, world models, reinforcement learning, or rendering & generative models.

Job Information: Compensation and Benefits

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Hourly) – Campus Intern

The competitive hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $60 – $60.

Benefits:

Benefits packages may vary based on the nature of employment and the country of work location. However, interns typically enjoy day one access to comprehensive health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 if hired in the second half of the year). Furthermore, interns who are not working 100% remotely may also be eligible for a housing allowance.
