Job Description: AI Product Owner & Builder (Founder-in-Residence Summer Mission):
This summer internship offers a founder-like experience building a high-impact product within Digbi Health’s platform. The role centers around designing and developing a claims data processing pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire process, from ingestion and transformation of complex claims data to creating user-friendly interfaces.
Responsibilities:
• Pipeline Development: Design and build a modular claims data pipeline using Python and SQL, capable of handling various file formats and source schemas. This involves implementing industry best practices for patient stratification and savings analysis, including identifying key CPT codes, tagging chronic condition cohorts, and preparing for difference-in-differences (DiD) analysis.
• API Development: Create production-ready APIs to make processed data and insights accessible to other services and internal users.
• LLM Integration: Leverage LLMs and prompt engineering to automate pipeline logic, connecting with other AI agents and internal databases to enhance patient care. This includes using LLMs for tasks like summarization and interaction.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Science, CEO, and Engineering Team. The role requires leveraging AI tools to minimize the need for a full-stack team.
• Expansion to Women’s Health: Extend Digbi’s existing platform to cater to the specific physiological needs of women.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A 1st-year MBA student or technical graduate student with strong coding skills and a passion for building impactful products. Specific requirements include:
• Proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience with pandas, FastAPI, or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Experience building and using APIs in a production or prototyping environment.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM workflows for automation, summarization, and interaction.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, processing pipelines, and transforming unstructured/heterogeneous data.
• Interest in health economics, claims data, patient stratification, or chronic disease management.
• A passion for solving complex data problems and creating empowering tools.
