Boeing Korea is offering an internship program for enthusiastic candidates interested in AI/ML.

This internship offers a chance to gain valuable industry experience working on the development and implementation of foundational AI/ML models. You will be part of the AI Factory team within BKETC Software Engineering, building out and researching reusable AI/ML models and ensembles that form the building blocks for AI/ML applications. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as you’ll collaborate with diverse teams across different business areas and backgrounds.

Key responsibilities:

• Research and development of models and ensembles covering:
• Classification (supervised and unsupervised)
• Prediction (predictors and regressors)
• Fusion (sensor and entity level)
• Decision making (task assignments, optimization, Reinforcement Learning, path planning)
• Generative (LLMs, Stackable LLMs)
• Hands-on experience developing AI/ML technologies
• Collaborating with Research leads and Chief AI Architects from Boeing Enterprise AI Center (BEAC)
• Working closely with Software Engineers in AI Foundations (for MLOps and DataOps development)
• Working closely with Software Engineers in AI Innovations (developing AI applications)

Qualifications:

• Must be an undergraduate senior or higher (class of 2024) in Computer Science, AI/ML engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with software implementations
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, frameworks, models, and ensembles
• Proficiency with Pytorch, SciKit Learn, Tensorflow, and similar backend frameworks
• Experience with Classification (supervised and unsupervised) models
• Experience with Decision Making models, including Reinforcement Learning
• Experience with Prediction models, including time series models and regressors
• Experience with GenAI models, including LLMs
• Proficiency in Python
• Ability to quickly learn new algorithms and models, including Neurosymbolic reasoning models and Liquid time-constant models (LTCs)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Good interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ML Ops and Data Ops
• Strong background in optimizing and validating models
• Experience with V&V test benches
• Familiarity with Explainable AI (XAI) techniques
• Familiarity with ONNX (Open Neural Net Exchange)
• Ability to quickly make sense of complex issues, respond effectively to ambiguity, and communicate complicated information simply
• Demonstrates openness, honesty, and ethical behavior
